A Little Trick & Plenty of Treats with Halloween Afternoon Tea at the Ampersand Hotel

Spooky, atmospheric fog - a fun start to the special Halloween afternoon tea
Yesterday I spent a delightful afternoon enjoying a double birthday celebration with some of my twitter friends. I had visited the Ampersand Hotel earlier this year and was delighted to discover that at the moment they are offering a special Halloween themed afternoon tea, which is available only until Sunday 3rd November 2013.
Halloween Afternoon Tea - beautifully presented on a tiered cake stand - featured here with the vegetarian tartines
The service, as previous, was great and there was no problem with ordering my Halloween tea with a vegetarian option. The vegetarian tartines came in a variety of appetising flavours with ricotta saffron honey (my favourite) , tomate & olive, smoked cheddar & chutney and cucumber & dill.
White chocolate & plain scones served with clotted cream & home made strawberry, chocolate & balsamatic vinegar jam
The scones are always my favourite part of afternoon tea, some would say I'm #obsessional about them, and I was thrilled to see that the white chocolate ones which I found so utterly delicious last time were still on the menu.
Pumpkin cake, vanilla eyeball mousse, blooded tonka cupcake, green apple jelly skull
All the pastries were beautifully decorated with a fun Halloween theme. The cute pumpkin cake certainly captured my heart and attracted everyone's attention.

The Drawing Rooms - a great place to relax with friends

At the counter there are a tempting selection of tasy treats
The food counter, which was laid out with a wide range of pastries & cakes, is the focal point of the room and provides a very pleasant distraction.
Love the quirky artwork & contemporary decor
The Ampersad Hotel is well located very close to South Kensington tube station and is within a five minute walk of the V & A, Natural History and Science Musuems, providing the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious treat after a museum visit.
