Cavell Nurses Trust

Edith Cavell is best remembered today as the British nurse who was shot by a German firing squad during World War I for her role in assisting over 200 soliders to escape from occupied Belgium.

We will be leading two 45 minute guided tours of the grounds of the Royal London Hospital, where Cavell trained and worked as a nurse,  at 11am and 12pm.

Cavell Nurses’ Trust has teamed up with Centre of the Cell and a number of museums in London to create a unique and fun ramble that will allow participants to explore London in a different light. The route will take in The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel and their museum where you will then enjoy the experience at Centre of the Cell before making your way to St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Museum where you will have your first health check. The walkers will also have the option of going via The Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Gallery at the Unison building, near Euston. The tour finishes at the Crypt in St Martin-in-the-Fields close to Edith Cavell’s statue for your final health check-up and much needed refreshments.

To take part in the event, the entrance fee is £25, which includes a pedometer, Cavell t-shirt, itinerary and route planner, your individual health card, and all the fundraising support you need! Visit their website to book your place.
